An eyeliner pen contains a liquid formula and dispenses the product through a brush or felt tip. An eyeliner pencil, on the other hand, is typically wax-based. Pencils need to be sharpened, which is why our retractable pencil features a built-in sharpener. In terms of finish, eyeliner pens often offer more intense pigment and are great for achieving a bolder, crisper look. 

A liquid eyeliner that comes in inkwell form is typically the trickiest eyeliner application method to master. In contrast, pencil eyeliner is generally the easiest eyeliner form to control. If you want a liquid liner's precise finish but want something easy to maneuver, consider a liquid liner pen. Pen eyeliners come with a brush or felt tip, so you don’t have to worry about dipping into an inkwell and dripping liquid liner. Whichever product you choose, you need practice to draw smooth lines. 

Based on the feedback we've received from our customers, we wanted to make some changes to our liquid eyeliner for easier application. The Infinity Waterproof™ Liquid Eyeliner Pen comes with a brush tip for a more stable hold, easier application, and feather-free wear.

If you want to apply eyeliner to your waterline, it’s best to use an ophthalmologist-tested eyeliner pencil. Liquid eyeliner can be too slippery to use on your waterline. 

While Lauren and Ella can be worn with all eye colors, we recommend Ella (Brown) for those with lighter eyes who want dramatic definition without looking too harsh or overpowering. Ella will give a soft dimension to your eyes while still making them appear rich and intense. Lauren (Black) is a timeless staple that will look pair well with any eye look.

While our Liquid Eyeliner Pen features a bold-pigment formula that dries quickly and won't smudge, it can be easily cleaned up. We have two tips for these instances.

1. Take a Q-Tip and dampen it with warm water or your favorite makeup remover. Simply glide the dampened end across any places you want to straighten your wing.

2. Using the Precision Angled Eyeliner Brush™, apply a small amount of your favorite concealer, and follow a straight line at the bottom of your wing.

The Infinity Waterproof™ Liquid Eyeliner Pen can easily be removed using your favorite waterproof makeup remover or we recommend our Bright Balance™ Hydrating Gel Cleanser. This cleanser was formulated to remove waterproof makeup in a single step, so you don’t have to use a makeup remover first.
