Celebrating Every Mom: A Mother's Day Giving Event with Mary's Place

Moms are superheroes, and deserve to feel celebrated and appreciated everyday. This Mother's Day, we did just that by teaming up with Mary’s Place to provide 75 unhoused moms with a morning of connection and care. 

At the Allen Family Center in Seattle, one of Mary's Place shelter locations, we distributed nearly $60,000 worth of clean makeup and skincare products to thank these mothers for all that they do. And none of this would be possible without you. Every purchase you make helps us show up for moments exactly like this one.

This day served as a reminder to all of us that self-care is not a luxury, but a form of dignity. For these mothers, navigating the challenges of homelessness while raising children can feel overwhelming, and a moment of calm with a nod of appreciation can mean everything.

 About Mary's Place

Mary's Place is a Seattle-based nonprofit that aims to bring safety, stability, and housing to all families. Since 1999, they have helped thousands of women and families move into more stable futures through emergency family shelters, mobile outreach programs, and housing and employment services. Their programs provide meals, education support, community resources, and wraparound services.

More than half of the guests at Mary's Place shelters are children, and their work reflects a firm belief that families are best supported with dignity and opportunity.

Our Partnership with Mary's Place

Mary's Place holds a very special place in our hearts. They were our first Giving Partner serving the unhoused community, and we have proudly partnered with them since 2017. Over the course of our partnership, we have donated over $2 million in products to support the women and families in their care.

Our products are named after inspiring individuals, and we are so honored to include Dominique Alex, CEO of Mary's Place, as one of our namesakes. Her magnificent efforts to provide safety and stability for families inspired our Brilliant Eye Brightener™ Sparkling Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black Silver Shimmer.' Every time you wear it, you carry a piece of that mission with you.
